WHO WE ARE
The name Nia /pronounced KNEE-ah/ is of Swahili origin, meaning “Purpose”.
Nia Magazine is a digital platform created especially for Black women, featuring lifestyle content that encourages self-love, inspiration, travel, career, purpose & motivation. We exist to bring #BlackGirlPurpose to life through the telling of our collective stories and use of our voice.
Ianna Ali is the Founder and CEO of NiaMagazine.com. An avid fan of Black web series, Indian literature (Jhumpa Lahiri anyone?) and all things The Golden Girls + Love & Hip Hop, this self-proclaimed Black Girl Nerd dreams of one day running Nia from a lounge chair overlooking the archipelagos of Santorini.
Nia is her love letter to confident, yet vulnerable Black women like herself who long to reach the pinnacle of #BlackGirlPurpose. Read more about why she started Nia HERE.
