Have you ever sat back and realized all of the things you tried to fix in your life and failed…only to realize that you were not blessed with the capability to do God’s work?

Friendships, break-ups, family issues, sibling separation, job displacement, marital problems; the lists goes on.

Well, I’ve been there, done that, done it again and finally learned from it.

We try to live by the saying “Let go and let God”, but when it’s time to apply the water to the pot, it’s easier said than done. In most cases, we get in the way of allowing our Father to take care of our unpleasant situations.

We have our hands, toes and elbows in the midst of God’s work and fail to comprehend that when we do not allow Him to do His Will, He completely removes Himself.

When we worry, hold grudges, carry burdens and continue to have an unforgiving heart, we walk into unsafe territory.

Most of us don’t realize we have taken full control until we have lost complete control.

God tells us to give our worries to Him to carry, but it’s hard to let go of the steering wheel when we see the collision coming.

I know, I know…it’s not easy and trust and believe it’s unlikely that you will let go of your Kung Fu grip without a spiritual fight. But when you finally realize that you’re adding more pain than you are relief, you will eventually become less enthusiastic about controlling the situation yourself.

And more willing to pass your burdens to Him to help you make it across the finish line.

I’ve been taught that before letting go you must first accept and forgive what’s keeping you in bondage.

Acceptance allows you to understand that you cannot change the situation; therefore you ask God to comfort your heart with His love to help you deal with the challenges that you are up against.

Acceptance is the first step to finding peace even when you don’t understand.

Forgiveness is the added ingredient needed in order to move on with a cleansed heart. If we never forgive, we hold resentment and when we continue to hold resentment, we are not allowing ourselves to heal.

True blessings come when we allow our God to do His Will in our life.

Prayer, fasting, sitting still and giving Thanks to God for what He has already done and what He’s about to do magnifies trust. When God knows that your heart is faithful to Him, there is nothing He can’t turn around.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
